To complete your registration you must read and aree to comply with the terms and condiions of the user agreement below.

1. Interpretation

• "Agreement" means your application to use Great China Web, the acceptance thereof by Asian Information Resources Ltd. & these Conditions; "Information" means information (including any text, data, graphics and software) provided by Asian Information Resources Ltd. & these Conditions or obtained from . "Password" means (letters or figures) identified as Password, which permits access to the account of a User ID to Great China Web, includes all Passwords create for Sub-user IDs; "AIR" means the Asian Information Resources Ltd.; "C & W HKT" means the Cable & Wireless Hong Kong Telecom. "User ID" means a number identified as a User ID and includes a Sub-user ID; "You" refers to an application to use Great China Web and, if the application is accepted by Asian Information Resources Ltd., an authorized user of Great China Web;
• the singular includes the plural and vice versa;
• the expressions " including" or "for example" and similar expressions are not words of limitation;
• references to anything, amount or group of persons are references to the whole and each part of that thing or amount, and all and each person in that group.

2. Great China Web

Great China Web is an online information service provided by C & W HKT, comprising information and services provided by C & W HKT and third parties.

3. Application

• C & W HKT may reject any application to use Great China Web without need to give any reason.
• By making an application, you warrant that:
• all actions needed to authorize your entry and performance of the Agreement have been taken.
• the Agreement, when concluded, constitutes your legal, binding and enforceable obligations; and
• the information in or provided in respect of your application is true, complete and current.
• Your application may be accepted by C & W HKT by communication your User ID and Password by electronic mail to your or other means to you.

4. Your information

• You agree to provide such information as may be reasonably requested by C & W HKT for the purpose of processing your application and establishing the means by which your payment will be made.
• All your information (including those relating to your credit, debit or charge card account, bank account and your personal data) is sent at your sole risk to C & W HKT.
• You agree to notify C & W HKT promptly if there is any change in your telephone number, address, electronic mail address, credit, debit or charge card numbers and expiry dates. Any such notification which correctly identifies your User ID is binding on you, and may be accepted and acted by C & W HKT without verification or enquiry.
• The information provided in your application excluding your credit card account details may be used by C & W HKT for the purposes of incorporation in any database operated by C & W HKT ( and may therefore become available to the public for use by them) and sending promotional and other material to you.

By providing information to C & W HKT, you will be regarded as having given your express and voluntary consent to the above purposes and any directly purposes for which your information may be used.

5. Usage

• You may only use the information for your own internal purpose, Except, as aforesaid, you may not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, sell or, in anyway directly or indirectly in competition with C & W HKT, commercially exploit the information. You must not delete or change any copyright or other proprietary notice on any Information obtained from Great China Web.
• Only a user authorized by C & W HKT and such user's employees may use Great China Web. You may not transfer all or any of your rights or obligations under the Agreement to any other person to use your user ID or Password.
• The copyright in the information is owned by C & W HKT or its content providers.
• C & W HKT's obligations to provide Great China Web will be suspended if and for so long as circumstances occur which prevent it from providing Great China Web.
• The Information, features or functions which are available to one class of users of Great China Web may not be available to another class of users. C & W HKT may group users into different classes using any criteria it deems fit.
• The amount of Information which may be available to a user during any period
  a) may from time to time limited or changed by C & W HKT with immediate effect upon notice to that user, and
  b) may be different from that available to another user. Your access to Great China Web may be suspended when the applicable limit has been reached. C & W HKT is entitled thereupon to collect all accrued charges incurred by the use of your user ID and Password through your credit , debit or change card account. Your access to Great China Web will not be restored until all such charges have been paid to C & W HKT.

6. Payment

• You agree to pay all charges, and other charges incurred by the user of your User ID and Password (by any person) at the rates and in accordance with the billing terms in effect during each period in which the charges are incurred. You will pay all taxes relating to your use of Great China Web. Your payments must be made in full without deduction, set-off or counterclaim.
• C & W HKT will (on a specified days) send by mail to you a monthly billing statement showing the charges incurred by you. The amounts of charges shown on a billing statement as owing from you are conclusive and binding on you, except to the extent of any objection shown on billing statement (which must contain reasonable details of your objection) by a written notice or through electronic mail to C & W HKT within 12 calendar days of the date of such billing statement, and except to the extent of manifest error.
• You will pay to C & W HKT an additional charge at the flat rate of 1.5% per month on the amount of any charges incurred for your card account which are unpaid after these due date.
• You authorize C & W HKT to bill all charges incurred by the use of your user ID and Password to your credit, debit or charge card account on C & W HKT's record.
• C & W HKT may charge for any services related to Great China Web and will publish the amount or rate therefor, identifying the services concerned by ( a general message on Great China Web). By requesting the relevant service at any time after such publication, you agree to pay C & W HKT such charges.

7. Equipment

You are responsible to provide and maintain necessary telecommunications lines, software and equipment to access Great China Web and to retrieve information and for all associated costs.

8. User ID and Password

• Your user ID and Password may be provided by C & W HKT to you, at your risk, by electronic mail or other means. You are solely responsible for protecting the confidentiality for your User ID and Password and against unauthorized use.
• You may request one or more Sub-user IDs. Different Passwords will be given for each Sub-user ID. You will be responsible for charges incurred by adding sub-user.
• For your protection, you should after receipt immediately change the Password assigned to you by C & W HKT.
• You user ID may not be changed without C & W HKT's prior agreement and may need to bear extra cost on changing/adding user ID.

9. Disclaimer

• Use of Great China Web is at your sole risk.
• The information may not be regarded as any recommendation or endorsement by C & W HKT for any purpose with respect to any person, product or service.
• You will exercise and rely solely on your own skill and judgment in your use and interpretation of the information. You are responsible to ensure that your use of the information complies with all applicable legal requirements.

10. Changes to Great China Web

• C & W HKT may at any time change or remove the contents or any function, aspect or feature, or change the presentation, of Great China Web including equipment (hardware and software) needed for access or use.
• C & W HKT may at any time change or add to these Conditions and change the amount or method of calculation of the charges payable by you or raise new charges.
• Any changes, removal or addition under Clause 10 above will be effective immediately upon notice thereof being posted on Great China Web or otherwise given to you. Any use of Great China Web by you after such notice will constitute your acceptance of such change, removal or addition.

11. Termination

You may terminate the Agreement by not less than 30 days' prior notice in writing. C & W HKT may at any time terminate the Agreement by notice to you with immediate effect, without need to give any reason. Termination of the Agreement automatically terminates your license to use Great China Web.

12. Notice

• C & W HKT gives notice to you by means of general notice on Great China Web, or by ordinary mail to your address or by facsimile to your facsimile number or by electronic mail to your electronic mail address on C & W HKT's record. Any notice sent by a general notice on Great China Web or to your facsimile number or electronic mail address is deemed to be received by you within 24 hours of dispatch. Any notice sent by ordinary mail to you is deemed to be received by you within 2 days of posting (if to an address in Hong Kong).
• You may give notice to AIR by electronic mail to gcw@airnet.com.hk or ordinary mail to 1701, Shanghai Ind. Investment Building, 48-62 Hennessy Road, Wanchi, Hong Kong. Attention: Great China Web

13. Entire Agreement

The Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between C & W HKT and you with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersedes all other written or oral agreements and representations, and may provisions in any documents sent by either party to the other, with respect to such subject matter.

14. Partial Invalidity

The illegality, invalidity or enforceability of any provision of the Agreement under the Law of any jurisdiction shall not affect its legality, validity and enforceability under the laws of any other jurisdiction nor the legality validity or enforceability of any other provision.

15. Multiple users

If there are 2 or more persons to the Agreement as user, their liability under the Agreement is joint and several, and their rights are joint.

16. Miscellaneous

No waiver by either party of any breach under the Agreement will amount to a waiver of any other breach. Any provision of the Agreement may be amended only in writing signed by an authorize representative of C & W HKT. The headings in the Agreement are for convenience only and shall not be given any legal import.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The Agreement shall be constructed in accordance with and governed by Hong Kong Law. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
